Novel High-k Application Workshop hosted in Dresden.

03/15/2024

Novel High-k Application Workshop hosted at NaMLaB in Dresden.

The Novel High-k Application Workshop, hosted by NaMLab, took place on March 11th and 12th, 2024. Drawing participation from over 100 attendees representing industry, research institutes, and universities, the event explored the evolving landscape of high-K dielectric materials in micro- and nanoelectronics applications.Topics covered included device advancements, process technology, reliability, and characterization techniques related to the integration of high-K dielectrics into micro- and nanoelectronic devices. Furthermore, the workshop examined the ferroelectric properties in fluorite materials such as hafnium and zirconium oxide along with their practical implications in actual devices.

Mattia Segatto and Chiara Rossi attended the workshop. In particular, Mattia was invited by the organizers to give a presentation about ferroelectric tunnel junctions used as hardware for neuromorphic computing applications.
