SIMONE SARO

Simone Saro was born in 1999. In 2021 he received the B.Sc. degree in Electronic Engineering at the University of Udine discussing a thesis on the analysis of circuits to emulate the synaptic plasticity in neuromorphic devices, under the supervision of Prof. Mirko Loghi, Prof. David Esseni and Prof. Stefano Saggini. In 2024 he received the M.Sc. degree in Electronic Engineering at the University of Udine discussing a thesis on the modelling of the dielectric absorption phenomena in integrated capacitors and its effects on analog-to-digital converters, under the supervision of Prof. Francesco Driussi and in collaboration with Infineon Technologies Austria. From March to October 2024 he joined the NanoElectronic Devices and Circuits (NEDeC) group of the University of Udine (headed by Prof. David Esseni) as a research associate and since November 2024 he is a Ph.D. student in Industrial and Information Engineering at the University of Udine.
His current working activity is based on the study of the trap states effects in the dielectric materials and the development of models for the physics-based description of the dielectric absorption phenomenon. In addition, his research activity includes also the study of the dielectric absorption impact on the analog-to-digital converters operation.
